The Colombian Police arrested Robinson Mejía Soto, alias La Cachona in Santa Marta, one of the top leaders of the organized crime in Medellín. Mejía Soto was one of the most wanted criminals in Colombia with a reward of 50 million pesos. He is the chief of La Galera, a criminal group of gangsters operating in the northeast barrios of Medellín and he is also pointed out as the armed faction of Valenciano, another well known drug traffic mafia dealer. The terrorist was brought by the authorities to Medellín where he is going to be prosecuted for murder, conspiracy, extortion and drug trafficking.

Colombia’s Prosecutor General is considering to officially investigate Jose Obdulio Gaviria, until recently the personal adviser of President Alvaro Uribe, for his alleged role in the scandal involving the illegal wiretapping of government opponents, Colombia Reports indicated on Saturday.
