Cali. The south-western state of Valle del Cauca is the leader in the group of Colombians migrating to countries like Spain and United States, according to a research of El Tiempo newspaper. The 25 percent of the Colombian migrants abroad come from this region, which capital is Cali, one of the main urban and industrial centers of the coffee nation. It is estimated that about 4 million Colombians are residing abroad.

If some Colombians dream with an American passport, there are cases of Americans who are proud of say they are Colombians. It is the case of New York-born actor Moises Arias, an American US television actor who is proud of the origin of his parents: Colombia.
He is what in Colombia is known as Paisa (those of the Paisa Region), because his parents come from the land of coffee, arepa and carriel, although he was born in New York on 18th April 1994. Hannah Montana (2006) is one of his debuts as Rico, owner of a costly shop in the Malibu beaches. In that production he was award with the Best Young Ensemble Performance in a TV Series.
