If you go anywhere in the world, you will find as international food things like Chinese restaurantes, Vietnamese, Mexican, French, Italian and even Spaniard. I forgot where I saw an “English” restaurant, maybe it was in Bangkok, while American food is every-McDonald-where. Mexican food is the most popular from Latin America, but I never have met a Colombian restaurant out of a Cafe de Colombia site in some airports. Is it so unpopular the Colombian food? Of course, the popularity of a country has to see with the popularity of its food. In that cartoon movie, Clear and Present Danger (1994) of Harrison Ford (directed by Phillip Noyce) that shows Colombia as a camp of war, Ford said that Colombian food has nothing different to the one of America. Another reason to state that Ford and Noyce never has been to Colombia. Everyone I know who has lived in Colombia and the United States says the same thing: I lose weight in Colombia and I gain weight in the U.S. It doesn’t seem to matter what they eat.
