Bogotá. The Colombian Constitutional Court did not approve the referendum that would allow President Álvaro Uribe Vélez to run for a third presidential period. The project of law was rejected by 7 votes against and 2 in favor. Mauricio González Cuervo, President of the Court, announced officially that the project has several irregularities in its procedure that does not follow the Constitution and the legislation. (more…)
