The political leader Ingrid Betancourt, former presidential candidate in the Colombian elections of 2002, was kidnapped by Farc and released by the Colombian army in July 2008. About the author

Luis Haro Domínguez is an Uruguayan artist and journalist. He is known as “Haro” in all his works that are often published in magazines, newspapers and websites.

Haro was born in Montevideo on 5th December 1958. He studied Drawing and Painting in the Continental Schools Academy with professor Álvaro Fontana. He began to publish in different newspapers of Uruguay.

He was living in the city of Sauce, in the State of Canelones until 2001. Afterward he moved to the city of Pando – same State – where is currently living.

Haro has participated in several Saloons and Expositions of humor graphic in Uruguay, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Zimbabwe and Bulgaria.
